“I Luv Dem Strippers” rapper 2 Chainz and son Halo have gone viral based on a clip from their Me & Halo Podcast, where the 9-year-old suggests they hit up a strip club in celebration of the show’s upcoming 30th episode.
In the post shared to the podcast’s official Instagram page Sunday (April 20), the Atlanta rapper born Tauheed Epps asks his son how they should celebrate the show’s “30th Anniversary,” though the caption makes it clear he’s referring to the 30th episode.
“Where should we go,” the rhymer asks his son, to which the child responds, “Candyland,” the name of the Atlanta strip club owned by Epps.
“I’m trying to see some strippers,” the 4th grader said and repeated before his dad cut him off. “Bro, you know people watching this? I tell you this all the time, you know people be watching this.”
“Aye,” Halo interrupted before repeating his desire to see the scantily-clad dancers. When 2 Chainz asks his son to say he’s “just playing,” Halo stands firm. “I ain’t playing. I’m not playing, this is true.” Watch the clip below.
The segment garnered mixed reactions, with many deeming Halo’s request as inappropriate for a kid his age.
“Let his daughter say that and it would’ve been a different reaction.. that lil boy too young to be talking about dancers,” offered one fan within TNT‘s comment section, with another adding, “As a stripper I don’t find this shxt funny.”
“I didn’t even know what strippers were at 9. Y’all gotta start protecting yall children,” added another Instagram user as another suggested, “It’s weird as hell to be 9 thinking that you can talk like that to your parents about strippers.”
Rapper 2 Chainz and his son Halo Epps attend the game between the Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena on March 22, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Others, however, believe Halo’s curiosity stems from Candyland being his father’s place of business, as well as from 2 Chainz himself, as he’s produced a number of strip club anthems throughout his career.
“Man hear nephew out, he trying to check on all y’all’s investments he’s the future,” one fan joked on the podcast Instagram page, with another simply adding, “Apple, meet tree.”
