50 Cent Says Female Rappers’ Graphic Sexual Content “Damaging” Them

50 Cent is calling for a change in how women rappers present themselves lyrically. The Queens native recently appeared on Hot 97.5’s Mike P Podcast and expressed his opinion on women’s rap.

Surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, 50 took a more conservative approach to how women rappers should move, as he feels over-sexualization is severely “damaging female culture.” Fiddy acknowledged that he has also made sexual songs in his career. But, he pointed at the subtle and playful innuendos in his songs as the main difference, whereas a lot of women rappers now explicitly state the sexual acts in their music.

“I was doing ‘Candy Shop’ and ‘Magic Stick,’ like metaphors for sexual experiences. [Women rappers] are flat-out saying the experience in the music now.”

He then went on to declare that pornstars who dabbled in music back in the day would be stars now based on the current state of lyricism and the bluntness exhibited in the music. “What they was saying is really hitting… because it’s that graphic right now. I think it’s fun, which is why I think the females are enjoying it and why they out partying.”

50 Cent then got into the real heart of the problem as he see’s it, stating that the standard in Hip-Hop for women has been drastically lowered. “The standard is not as high,” he continued. “For you to come in as a female artist and say, ‘What do [I] have to do to cut through?… Really one joint will get them to [that] place.”

The successful businessman recently had a conversation with Andrew Schulz over the comedian threatening to sexually assault Kendrick Lamar. 50 appeared on the comedian’s podcast where he questioned him for his off joke, saying, “I’m a fan of your work, but I don’t understand what got into you that made you say you was gonna f**k Kendrick.”

50 Cent then took aim at people insisting that they would file a petition to get Shultz “canceled” over the comment. Fiddy asserted that those sentiments were equally goofy and that “when I watch [comedians], I look and I go, ‘there’s no point that you could do something that actually damages what they’ve developed.’”
