The collaboration that many fans have been anticipating is finally happening, now that 50 Cent has confirmed he will record a joint album with Eminem.

After Em recently revealed that the only thing standing in the way of the project is their “own timing and organization,” 50 took to Instagram to announce that he’d be stepping out of his self-imposed “retirement” to create the album.

On Thursday night (Dec. 26), the music and TV mogul delivered the news. “Looks like I’ll be back in the booth after all!” he wrote. “Just gotta do this residency in Vegas first.”

Before the rap vets hit the studio, Fif will be making history with his first-ever Las Vegas residency, “50 Cent: In Da Club,” kicking off tonight (Dec. 27) and wrapping on Jan. 4. Once the residency concludes, the road to a joint album with his Hip-Hop brethren can officially begin.

Back in 2023, 50 revealed he had been working on new music and shared that Eminem had already reached out to let him know Dre was cooking up some heat.

“As soon as I said that, I got a text from [Eminem] that he had already spoken to Dre, and that Dre is in there, and he’s got some crazy stuff for me to go hear,” 50 recalled at the time with Big Boy. He also explained how Dre’s involvement would elevate the project: “I’ll go make something, what I can find, the best music that I can put my hands on. And when I feel real good about it, I bring it to put pressure on Dre to offer me something. ‘Cause he’ll have something… He’s always had something.”

The 50 Cent and Eminem joint album is one of the most anticipated releases, as fans have been wanting more since their collaborations like “Patiently Waiting,” “Peep Show,” and “Crack a Bottle.”

While no official timeline has been set, the excitement is definitely at an all time high.
