Joe Igbokwe, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed his disapproval of remarks made by Nigerian singer Davido regarding the state of the Nigerian economy.

Recall that during a recent podcast in the United States, Davido cautioned Americans to think twice before considering a move to Nigeria, citing significant economic challenges within the country.

In reaction to this, Joe Igbokwe called for Davido to reconsider his statements, emphasizing that Nigeria has played a pivotal role in shaping the artist’s success.

In a post on Facebook, Joe Igbokwe shared his disappointment, stating: “My in-law Davido has made me sad by telling the world in America that Nigeria’s economy is in shambles. This is very sad. I will advise him to retract the statement ASAP. Nigeria made Davido. QED!!!”

Joe Igbokwe had expressed his disappointment on social media, lamenting the inability of the music duo, Psquare to reconcile their differences and work together.

Igbokwe’s post highlighted a series of perceived failures, including their inability to trust, love, and reason together, as well as their challenges in managing their success, emotions, and familial relationships.

He criticized the twins for what he described as “success without brains” and “education without character,” suggesting that their situation is a shameful example for others.

In his words:

“So shameful that two twin brothers Paul and Peter cannot work together, cannot love one another, they cannot trust each other, they cannot think together, they cannot reason together, they cannot forgive each other, they cannot manage their wives, they cannot manage their success story, they cannot control their emotions, they cannot manage their internal contradictions, even their wives could not help matters, what about their parents, their brothers and sisters, their Nnaochie? etc. This is shame. It pains me to no end. Now, are there no elders in the family? This is Success without brains. Education without character. Make shame catch us small na. When Gold rust what will Iron do? Ndi ara akwu eke. Awon werey.”
