Famous media personality, Daniel Regha, has voiced his support for the re-arrest of musician and rapper Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington.
Daniel Regha expressed his views via a tweet on Wednesday, describing the arrest as warranted.
Speed Darlington was reportedly rearrested in Imo State shortly after his return to Nigeria.
This development follows a previous arrest allegedly instigated by Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy.
The initial arrest was reportedly tied to Speed Darlington’s controversial remarks about Burna Boy’s Grammy win and his association with American rapper Diddy.
In his statement, Daniel Regha emphasized that Speed Darlington’s re-arrest was inevitable due to his continued public criticism of Burna Boy.
He noted that despite facing legal action once, Speed Darlington persisted in making defamatory comments.
“Burna & his team re-arresting Speed Darlington is justified (if true), since Speed Darlington continued to slander his name unprovoked, even after being arrested the first time; And to make matters worse, a lot of people cheered him instead of condemning the act. There’s a limit to one’s tolerance,” Daniel Regha tweeted.
