Eagles Quarterback, Jalen Hurts, caused much conversation online after appearing at a post-game press conference wearing a diamond Cuban-link chain with a blinding pendant.

Although Hurts gave his spill on the Eagles taking the W over the Pittsburg Steelers with 27-13—his remarks seemed to fall short to the attention his hefty neck piece received.

As many were also wondering, someone commented on X, “How tf Jalen hurts havin a chain turn into a conversation bout rappers?”

Social media had much to say about his hardware, sparking an online debate if athlete’s bling outshines the jewelry rappers wear. Check out some of the social media reactions below:

“After Jalen Hurts chain im questioning a lot of these rappers chains lol,” commented one user on X as another remarked, “An athlete jewelry hit way harder than a rappers I’m convinced after seeing Jalen Hurts and Justin Jefferson [diamonds].”

A third person wrote, “Jalen Hurts putting that chain on is exactly why most rappers and insta ni**az buy them. It boosts your media traffic and people start looking at you like one of them ones. The owner doesn’t even have to like or care for it but the people watching do.”

Comparing Hurt’s chain to a few rappers’, a fourth person said, “Jalen Hurts Diamonds Are Crazy! But That Doesn’t Mean That Rappers Have Fake Diamonds… I Can Name A Few That Can Match His Diamonds Lil Baby, Future, And Gucci Mane. Diamonds Cost Increase With The Quality, Shape, Size & Clarity.”

The discussion over the 26-year-old’s chain comes after he seemingly responded to criticism that he allegedly doesn’t pass the ball.

The comment was made by Eagles Wide Receiver, A.J. Brown, who appeared to take a jab at Hurts following a narrow victory against the Carolina Panthers. When asked about areas the team needed to improve in, Brown responded with “passing,” which unfortunately directed attention at Hurts.

However, he made it clear that he wasn’t speaking about Hurts and that it was “all good” between him and his teammate.
