Drake subtly responded to Kendrick Lamar‘s Super Bowl Halftime Show by flipping a couple of lyrics. According to XXL, Drizzy spit his verse from “Knife Talk” during a recent performance in Melbourne on Monday (Feb. 10). Instead of rhyming, “Beef is live, spoiler alert, this ni**a dies,” the Toronto native raps, “Beef is live, spoiler alert, I never died,” announcing that Lamar didn’t end him despite K. Dot’s “Game Over” message.
The Her Loss artist has spent most of his Anita Max Win Tour reminding the masses that he’s “still alive.” In fact, on night one of the event, the Canadian entertainer donned a bullet-hole-riddled hoodie as he made his way to the stage. The look was complete, with smoke trailing from behind Drake, implying he was still standing despite his adversary’s shots.
Then, at a tour stop in Perth, the 38-year-old ended his show with a proud proclamation of resilience, saying, “My name is Drake. I started in 2008, I came all the way from Toronto, Canada. The year is now 2025, and Drizzy Drake is very much still alive.”
The OVO head honcho most recently focused Serena Williams in his crosshairs after her appearance in Kendrick’s Halftime Show. On Wednesday (Feb. 12), the Scorpion rapper used his burner Instagram account, @plottttwistttttt, to share a picture of himself with Jill Smoller, Williams’ longtime agent. His picture didn’t include a caption or any other information to provide context to the petty gesture.
Drake and Serena Williams were rumored to have started dating back in 2011 with Drizzy being photographed at a ton of her games during this time. The on-and-off relationship ended in 2015, as Drizzy began sending shots to her over the past decade of his career.
