P2istheName, a popular YouTuber, has died at age 26. TMZ reports that the Gen Z entertainer, né Philip Enewally, was found dead in a Los Angeles mailroom.

Philip’s mother confirmed the death with the outlet, explaining that her son died Friday night (March 14) and asked fans to respect the family’s privacy at this time. However, she did permit P2’s 3.8 million subscribers to flood his YouTube channel with condolences, thoughts, and prayers.

The Los Angeles County Coroner shared that an investigation is currently underway, but little details are known about Enewally’s death at this time. COLETHEMAN, a good friend of the late content creator, paid homage to P2 in a post on X/Twitter. Cole recalled the good times they shared together in their journey of making videos for YouTube. “My good friend @P2istheName has passed away… wow. I’m honestly at a loss for words. He was always so kind to me and gave me so much content creation advice. May he rest in peace. This breaks my heart,” he wrote.

Enewally first gained popularity after creating videos around the battle royale game Fortnite, which was released in 2017 and the annual NBA 2K game. P2 then branched out with many collaboration videos, challenges, and other lifestyle clips that gave a glimpse into the charismatic personality’s life. In his latest videos, Philip Enewally started and shared his clothing line, DontMindUs, which he was determined to get off the ground and “share with the world.”

In a bit of a bittersweet moment, one of P2’s last YouTube videos called “Why This My Last Month Living In LA,” finds him ruminating on his time in California and getting started on the popular video platform. Enewally explains why he wants to move and states that he looks forward to being able to detail all the various places he’s been and why to his future kids. “When I’m older and have kids one day,” he passionately said. “I want to be able to say I lived here… because when you’re able to experience more things, you’re able to have more wisdom to explain things to people—especially your kids… the next generation.”

VIBE sends thoughts and prayers to Philip Enewally, his family, fans, and everybody who loved P2. Rest in peace.
