Trey Songz had a close call with an overzealous fan during a performance of the The Millennium Tour 2025 in North Carolina on Sunday night (March 23).
The 40-year-old was in the middle of his set when he was surprised by a guest who decided to make the show more entertaining — climbing on stage and throwing an arm around the singer. Songz, though caught off-guard, didn’t hesitate to switch into defense mode.
Video footage circulating the net shows Songz responding by backing up and getting into a fighting stance. And while the interaction could have gone that way, it didn’t as security immediately escorted the trespasser off the stage, no blows necessary.

Social media, of course, had a field day with many fans deciding to focus on Songz’s reaction over whether he’d been endangered.
“Poweranger assemble he said,” one person joked on TikTok as another commented, “Why is it giving teken 8 block stance.” A third person simply said, “He can’t fight,” as a fourth chimed in, “come on brah ….that stance in them pants is insane.” Another X user called out the various allegations against the “I Don’t Wanna Leave” singer, writing, “Ni**as still go to Trey song shows? Thought yall were against predators and abusers?”
Meanwhile, other Netizens decided to meme the moment. See below.
