Saying things have looked bad for Diddy over the last year and a half would be an understatement. However, he recently scored another legal win as one of his lawsuits was dismissed.
The 55-year-old artist was sued by Jane Doe for allegedly attacking her at a party in 1995 after she rejected his advances. She was represented by Tony Buzbee, one of the go-to lawyers for women who have come forward with stories about the Bad Boy co-founder. Puff’s legal team immediately denied the allegations, but Buzbee insisted on moving forward with litigation as of January.
The issue with her case was the fact that she was asked to refile the lawsuit under her real name. She was given a deadline of March 20 to do so, but she refused, so US District Judge Lewis J. Liman tossed the case this past Monday (March 31), according to Rolling Stone. “This is now the second case brought by these attorneys against Mr. Combs that has been dismissed in its entirety. It will not be the last,” Diddy’s legal team said in a statement.

“For months, we have seen case after case filed by individuals hiding behind anonymity, pushed forward by attorneys more focused on media headlines than legal merit. The other claims, like the one dismissed today, also will not hold up in a court of law.”
The “Last Night” artist was arrested in September for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and more. Tony Buzbee took an active role in this case shortly after, setting up a hotline for victims to call in and share stories about what allegedly happened between them and Diddy. The former REVOLT chairman is currently being held in federal custody without bail in a Brooklyn jail and has pled not guilty to all federal charges. His trial is set to begin in May.
