The nominees for the 51st American Music Awards have been announced, and Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with a staggering 10 nominations — the most of any artist this year.

Among his nods are three of the show’s most prestigious honors: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for GNX, and Song of the Year for his explosive hit “Not Like Us.”

Further cementing his dominance, Lamar landed three of the five slots in the Favorite Hip-Hop Song category, with nominations for “Not Like Us,” “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin, and “Luther” featuring SZA.

Other notable nominees include Post Malone with eight, Shaboozey with seven nods, and SZA, Bruno Mars, and all-time AMA award winner Taylor Swift each receiving six.

Already a three-time AMA winner, Kendrick Lamar continues to build on an unstoppable year.

His AMA nominations come just months after a landmark showing at the 67th GRAMMY Awards, where he made history as only the second Hip-Hop artist to win Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

The Compton native also took home GRAMMY hardware for Best Rap Album (GNX), Best Rap Performance (“Not Like Us”), and Best Rap Song (“Like That”).

The 51st AMAs, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, will air live from Las Vegas on Monday, May 26, broadcasting coast-to-coast on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and streaming on Paramount+.

As Lamar eyes a potential record-breaking night — with Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston still holding the all-time record of eight wins in a single ceremony — all eyes will be on him to see if he can etch his name even deeper into music history.
