Cam’ron has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Ye’s claim of having an incestuous relationship with a male relative, accusing him, as well as another Chicago native, with casting a bad light on The Windy City.
During a recent episode of his It Is What It Is podcast with Ma$e and moderator Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson, Cam shared his thoughts on Ye’s recent revelation regarding his sexual history, accusing his former collaborator of feigning homosexuality to generate record sales.
“Ni**as be conveniently gay. It’s like, ‘Yo, let’s be gay for a little while now cause it’s popping so now let’s talk about when I was gay at one time,” the Diplomats founder said in reference to Ye.
While Cam was clear that he has no issues or hate for the LGBTQ+ community, he explained that he doesn’t respect those who aren’t forthcoming about their sexual preference and are “in the closet.”
He also deemed Ye’s timing regarding his admission of the alleged incestuous relationship as being “too convenient,” adding that it came at a time when he appears to be courting attention through salacious statements and behavior.
“Kanye been in the public eye for at least going on twenty years, if not longer, and now you’re gay or had gay acts? Sh*t ain’t working. Everything he got going on ain’t seem to be working.”

He continued, adding that he’s personally never witnessed such conduct from Ye in their time working together as artists on Roc-A-Fella Records. “I just never seen none of this sh*t,” Cam said. “And I done been around Kanye for a long time, a long time ago.”
Cam then went one step further, accusing Ye and disgraced R&B star R. Kelly of putting blemishes on Chicago’s reputation with their alleged actions, most notably those dealing with molestation and pedophilia.
“I’m not saying nothing [negative] about the city of Chicago,” Cam, who resided in Chi-Town for roughly five years, said before blasting both West and Kelly.

“It’s a lot of sh*t going on with two of the biggest superstars,” he said, referencing Kelly’s infamous act of allegedly urinating on a minor.
“Not just from Chicago, ever in music history, where some personal nasty sh*t going on. Y’all putting a stain on a good city, man. Y’all need to cut the sh*t baby.”
