  • In the depths of a mother’s unbearable torment, where words seem too fragile to hold the weight of her grief, Olayinka Adebanjo, in her 50s, bared her soul to Biola Adebayo.
  • With tears that could drown the heaviest heart, she recounted the shattering loss of her 28-year-old only son.
  • Her pain, searing and unrelenting, bled through every word as she begged for a chance to become a mother again, after the brutal sting of endless failed attempts.

In an emotional and deeply stirring moment on Biola Adebayo’s popular talk show, Talk-to-B, veteran Nigerian actress Olayinka Adebanjo revealed the heart-wrenching story of her life as an aging woman yearning to become a mother once more.

On the show that has witnessed desperate cries being answered, the seasoned thespian seized the opportunity to share her painful journey, to seek the compassionate support of Biola Adebayo and the Nigerian public in realizing her greatest, most elusive desire—motherhood through surrogacy.

The air was thick with emotion as Olayinka, visibly shaken, recalled the tragic and sudden loss of her only son. With tears streaming down her face, she described the horrific moment when her child slumped and died on the football field while playing with friends, a loss that has haunted her for years.

She then opened up about her unsuccessful attempts to adopt a child, which not only drained her financially but also crushed her hopes for motherhood. Beyond the emotional toll, Olayinka spoke candidly about the stigma she faces as an aging actress without a child.

Her plea for help echoed through the studio as she turned to Biola Adebayo and Nigerians. Now, with age catching up to her, Olayinka’s only remaining hope for motherhood is surrogacy, an expensive and often out-of-reach option.

Having personally gone through the process of surrogacy to become a mother, Biola felt a profound connection to Olayinka’s pain and longing, turned to the Nigerian public to help with 20 million naira donation.
