Angel Reese is continuing to make her impact both on and off the court. Today (Nov. 20), Footwear News announced the WNBA star has been named Style Influencer of the Year for the 2024 Footwear News Achievement Awards (FNAA).
Dubbed as the “Shoe Oscars,” the event will be held next month on Dec. 4 in New York City. The award show serves to give flowers to “footwear’s most influential names, standout moments, and biggest brand stories.”
“I am so honored to be recognized by Footwear News as this year’s Style Influencer,” said the 22-year-old said via press release. “For me, personal style is about seizing the moment and expressing who you are with unapologetic confidence. There’s no playbook for personal style, which makes fashion so empowering. Working with Reebok has been a dream because they truly support my vision and collaborate with me throughout the design process to create pieces that are authentically me. Together, we hope to inspire others to embrace their unique style with the same confidence.”
Reese was a standout during her last season with LSU and went on to be drafted to the Chicago Sky earlier this year. During her first pro season, she shattered the WNBA record for most rebounds and also broke the WNBA’s rookie record for double-doubles.
When she’s not busy making waves on the basketball court, she’s trendsetting with her fashion sense and inking contracts with sports apparel brands. The Bayou Barbie announced her continued partnership last month, hinting that something is coming in Spring 2026. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Reese initially signed with Reebok last year while attending LSU.
“I’m extremely excited to let you guys know that we are officially coming out with a Reebok by Angel signature shoe,” she said in a statement, per Bleacher Report. “We’ve already kicked off the design process, and it means the world to me to have Reebok’s full support and confidence with this shoe and overall partnership.”
In addition to lucrative sponsorships, Reese added onto her various side endeavors with her most recent project: the Unapologetically Angel podcast. She launched the show in September 2024 and has already released episodes featuring Latto, Mariah The Scientist, Kayla Nicole, Dwyane Wade, and more.
