Angie Stone‘s family welcomes fans to celebrate her legacy and mourn her death in public services. An announcement shared across the singer’s official Instagram account, details a celebration of life and funeral for the late singer, welcoming followers to register for a guest list to attend.
“We invite family, friends, and fans to join us in celebrating her remarkable life at the following services,” explained the caption before revealing details of two events. The first is listed as a celebration of life, set to take place on Friday (March 14) in Austell, Ga. The second is a traditional funeral, set for Saturday in Columbia, Sc.
The news was shared with a clip of Angie Stone singing, with her song “Make It Last” added as background music.

The soul music performer was tragically killed earlier this month in a fatal car accident while leaving one show and headed to another. In a statement issued after the death, her surviving family urged fans to help keep Stone’s “legacy alive.”
Investigators believe the “No More Rain” singer’s Mercedes-Benz sprinter van was struck by a Freightliner Cascadia truck in Montgomery, Ala. Eight other passengers were injured in the accident, which is currently still under investigation by the Highway Patrol division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
“Her love of God, and her faith led her to have a deep desire to share her belief in God and bring more people to Christ,” shared Stone’s loved ones. “Even though Angie is no longer with us in physical form, her family wants you to keep her legacy alive.”
