Bow Wow and Omarion were a popular duo in the 2000s, but those days are long gone. The 38-year-old rapper recently provided an update on their complicated relationship.
“It’s complicated. I don’t want to talk (to him),” Bow Wow told Cam Newton on the latest episode of Funky Friday. “It’s nothing to talk about, not even in a bad way.” It is unclear what exactly sparked their beef, but the “Like You” artist gave somewhat of an explanation. “It’s just when you lend your hand out and you try to be the bigger person—and try to rap—but you get no response you go, ‘OK we’ll leave it right here.’ You do your thing, I do my thing, it ain’t no beef.”
Despite wanting nothing to do with O, he clarified that he does wish him the best. “We’ve been through this thing for so long,” he said. “He’s 40 and I’m 38. We don’t have to do that now. We got kids, we got our own lives. I wish you nothing but the best. The best revenge is time, you don’t even gotta do much.” Watch below.
Fans first caught wind of an issue between Bow Wow and Omarion this past February. A user suggested that Bow should talk to him, and he replied, “No we don’t.” Another fan asked about the Millenium Tour, which the former duo and Trey Songz were set to be part of. “What tour?” he wrote.
In the 2000s, Bow and O were one of the most popular duos in Hip-Hop and R&B. Their tracks “Let Me Hold You” and “Girlfriend” had massive moments, to the point where they joined forces for the collaborative album Face Off in 2007.
Most recently, Omarion released SexSonics in 2024. Last month, Bow Wow reunited with Chris Brown for his latest single, “Use Me.” Watch below.
