Bow Wow has seemingly kicked off 2025 with a new relationship.
On New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31), Bow, né Shad Moss, and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s niece, Jade Pinkett, posted a photo on their Instagram Stories celebrating together.
For Jade’s caption, she wrote: “New Years, Yr 2 for the books,” hinting at an ongoing relationship that’s been under wraps for some time. Bow simply reposted the photo with no caption.
The rumored new couple received mixed commentary online for their apparent relationship.
As Bow was previously engaged to Erica Mena, and shares a daughter with Joie Chavis and a son with model Olivia Sky—he has be scrutinized for his public comments about the women in his life. Early last year, the “Fresh Azimiz” rapper drew heavy criticism for an Instagram post where he wished harm upon Sky.
“I WISH MY BABY MOTHER GOT RAN OVER BY A MACK TRUCK [crying face emoji],” he wrote, before clarifying: “NOT JOIE THE BUM BI**H YALL DONT [KNOW].”
However, the backlash was heavy.
Fans and his famous peers called out the 37-year-old for his remarks, with comedian Funny Marco jokingly asking: “What’s goin’ on, @shadmoss?” and Lil Mama urging him to “grow up.”
Bow Wow didn’t seem fazed by the criticism, as he downplayed the outrage in the comments section, referencing his character from Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family. In the 2011 film, Moss played Byron, a young man entangled in “baby mama drama” with his child’s mother, Sabrina (Teyana Taylor) and his girlfriend Renee (Lauren London).
Much like the fictitious film, Moss’s relationship with his youngest child’s mother has been tumultuous. In July 2020 Bow Wow initially denied paternity of his son, Stone, until a court ruling confirmed otherwise.
“Such a blessing to have him in my life,” he wrote upon learning the news.
As Bow Wow and Jade Pinkett’s romance gains attention, the two have yet to confirm the nature of their relationship. See the two on New Year’s Eve above.
