Cam’ron and Ma$e may have become two of the biggest voices in sports and entertainment thanks to their show, It Is What It Is, but they’re gearing up to remind people of their skills in the booth. The Dipset member recently previewed a track from their joint project, Willie Burgers.

The snippet seemed inspired by his recent feud with Jim Jones, who he said was not actually from Harlem. “Shouts to Mason Betha, I’m Cameron Giles / I’m sorry, Richard Porter, I’m sorry, Kevin Chiles / I’m sorry, Bumpy Johnson, y’all always gettin’ cheddar / It come to Harlem, baby girl, nobody did it better,” he rapped in the Instagram video, shared on Wednesday (March 19).

“Harlem Fact check season,” he wrote in the caption. “Sorry [Murder], I had to give them a small sample.” He then confirmed Willie Burgers will be out on July 4 and pondered releasing the full song exclusively on his Talk With Flee YouTube show.

Cam’ron first teased the album last year, claiming that it was locked and loaded but that Ma$e did not sign off on putting it out. “Me and Ma$e got an album. He said we can’t put it out!” he said in an Instagram Live video. “I don’t know what it’s about. We did six, seven songs. We do the songs and then he says, ‘No.’ I don’t know what Ma$e is saving them for. But we got songs together and not together. I’m just not allowed to play them.”

It is unclear what has caused the former Bad Boy artist to have a change of heart, but Cam’s IG commenters were seemingly thankful for it after hearing the snippet this week. According to the “Touch It Or Not” rapper, his fellow Harlem lyricist also has a bunch of unreleased music in the tuck.

“Ma$e got mad songs. Them sh*ts is hot too. All Ma$e songs is hot,” he added. “I ain’t gonna front, he got some real, real, real good songs. What he holding onto them for? I can’t answer that. I don’t know what Ma$e is holding onto these songs for.” Ma$e recently stated that he was releasing his next solo album, his first in 20 years, in May to align with the start of Diddy’s sex trafficking trial. So, with May being two months away, evidently, he is willing to loosen the reins a bit and let people hear new raps.
