Charlamagne Tha God has tired of Ye‘s antics, dubbing the rapper as “boring” and having devolved into an uninteresting figure.
During a recent broadcast of The Breakfast Club morning show, Charlamagne shared his reaction to Ye’s controversial string of actions in recent weeks, which include him using antisemitic language, social media rants, and his praise of Adolf Hitler.
“Man, Kanye West is just boring,” the media veteran said of the rapper, who now goes by Ye. “Out of all of the things that Kanye has become that we don’t like, boring is the one I thought I would never see come.”

Charlamagne continued, asserting that West’s actions are contrived in an attempt to garner attention.
“He’s just boring, and what makes him even more boring is the fact he’s such a try-hard. He tries so hard to be provocative. He tries so hard to be controversial, and he just comes off as boring.”
This is far from the first time that Charlamagne has been critical of Ye. He recently accused the artist of attempting to steer attention away from Kendrick Lamar out of jealousy during the lead up to his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance last month.

“We do realize Kanye has been acting out all week because he’s envious of Kendrick’s moment, right,” Charlamagne said of the 47-year-old during a February broadcast of The Breakfast Club.
“He wishes this was him, because Kendrick is having a moment for being a prolific artist who took out his number one opp, Drake,” the South Carolina native added.
“Kanye wishes that was him in this moment, so he’s been doing all these antics for attention all week because he’s trying to get people to do exactly what they’re doing right now, and that’s talking about him.”

Charlamagne Tha God has been one of West’s more vocal critics in recent years, crowning the Chicago native as the “leader of the legion of lame” in 2024.
However, the pair have also had more cordial moments, such as the time when the pair sat down for a one-on-one interview in 2018. The two had previously spoken on two occasions, including Ye’s visits to The Breakfast Club in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
