CottonFest 2025: Star-Studded Line-Up Revealed For Jozi’s Biggest Party

South Africa’s iconic music and culture fest has officially revealed the full line-up for its sixth edition, and let’s just say—it’s a vibe explosion waiting to happen. Taking over The Station in Newtown on Saturday, April 26, CottonFest 2025 is locked, loaded, and louder than ever with over 100 artists across three electrifying stages.

A cultural institution born from the vision of the late legend Riky Rick, CottonFest has grown far beyond just a music event—it’s a full-blown movement. This year, powered by Coca-Cola, MTVBase and more, the festival is set to deliver an immersive mash-up of hip-hop, amapiano, trap, R&B, gqom, and house—a true sonic snapshot of the South African soundscape.

With the likes of A-Reece, Blxckie, Big Zulu, Cassper Nyovest, DNB Gogo, and so many more added to the roster, it’s clear — CottonFest 2025 is about to set the city ablaze. This isn’t just another festival — it’s a movement. Because in the words of Riky Rick himself:
We Never Die. We Multiply.

CottonFest isn’t just about the sound. It’s a visual and cultural overload—from live graffiti and fashion pop-ups to a skatepark showdown and streetball battles. “CottonFest is more than a festival; it’s a platform for creativity and connection.

The announcement comes on the heels of the April 4 release of Riky Rick’s posthumous album, Boss Zonke Forever, which has taken South Africa by storm, amassing over 5 million streams in its first week and claiming the top spot on Spotify’s SA Weekly Album chart. The 17-track project, featuring collaborations with many of the same artists headlining CottonFest, serves as a powerful tribute to Riky’s artistry and influence. Tracks like “Cishe Ngaposta” and “Raindrops” have become anthems, resonating with fans for their raw honesty and celebration of Riky’s larger-than-life persona.

The album’s success has amplified anticipation for CottonFest 2025, with fans viewing the festival as a living extension of Riky’s legacy.
