She acknowledged that despite feeling prepared for the challenges of parenthood, nothing can truly prepare one for the demands of caring for a newborn.

Dayo Amusa described motherhood as the most difficult experience she has ever faced, but also noted that it has brought her immense joy and love.

Dayo highlighted the ways in which motherhood has changed her perspective and priorities.

She wrote about the joy of seeing her son’s face every morning, watching him discover new things, and hearing his adorable coos.

She also acknowledged the immense responsibility that comes with being a parent, and the knowledge that her son relies on her for everything.

She wrote:

“One month of motherhood. What an experience it’s been.

Even tho I felt “ready” to have a baby, no amount of preparation can really prepare you for the realities of motherhood. It’s 100% the hardest thing l’ve ever done but I am filled with so much joy & love that I don’t even care if I never sleep another 8hrs straight again. Somehow you just figure it out & show up day after day for your little one.

Seeing his tiny face every morning, watching his eyes light up when he discovers something new, hearing his cute little coos & knowing that we are his whole world makes it all worth it. We are one month old today @babyolufire”
