Diddy Issues Cease-And-Desist Order In Response To Shyne’s Hulu Doc

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team has reportedly issued a cease-and-desist order against Jamal “Shyne” Barrow’s new documentary, The Honorable Shyne.

In the film, Shyne accuses Combs of orchestrating a scheme to make him the “fall guy” for the infamous 1999 nightclub shooting, which left three bystanders injured and resulted in Shyne’s nearly decade-long prison sentence.

“Because when I said it [at the time], everyone was partying and having a great time with Diddy while I was left to rot in prison,” Shyne said, emphasizing his claim of innocence. Despite his grievances, Shyne maintains he refused to implicate Combs during the trial, citing a personal code of loyalty and integrity.

“I grew up [being told] to not get my friends in trouble. And that’s what it really boiled down to, integrity about character,” Shyne explained, reiterating his disdain for “snitching.”

The rapper-turned-politician alleges that Combs influenced witness testimonies, with one witness in particular portraying him as “this uncontrollable person that was acting in a depraved manner, which was the furthest from the truth.” Shyne says he adhered to a “code of honor,” refusing to “break” it despite feeling betrayed.

According to Page Six, Combs’ representatives strongly denied the allegations. “Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrow’s allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him. These claims are unequivocally false.”

The statement continued, “Mr. Combs was acquitted of all charges related to the [1999 incident] and has consistently maintained his innocence. Mr. Combs appreciates the path Mr. Barrow has pursued and wishes him continued success. It is unfortunate that Mr. Barrow has chosen to revisit these allegations.”
