Bewaji, the first wife of controversial singer Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has made a heartfelt appeal to the Ogun state government over her husband’s ongoing legal battle.

Taking to her Instagram page, Bewaji pleaded for mercy on behalf of the singer, urging authorities to forgive him for the sake of their children.

She also shared a photo of Portable, emphasizing the impact his legal troubles could have on their family.

Within Nigeria previously reported that Portable’s aides were arrested and charged in a magistrate court for allegedly assaulting Ogun State town planning officials who had gone to inspect the singer’s properties.

In her post, Bewaji prayed for divine intervention and appealed to those offended by Portable’s actions to grant him forgiveness.

Her plea comes after the singer himself apologized to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun. He even composed a song, calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to help plead with the governor on his behalf.

Portable also requested the release of his jailed aides while describing himself as a “government liability.”
