Los Angeles rapper Dody6, who was featured on Kendrick Lamar‘s “hey now” from GNX, is calling out the Compton native for not checking on him recently.
In a heated rant shared on social media on Monday (April 21), Dody revealed that he’s homeless. “N**ga, I lost my house. I’m homeless. On Crip, I admit that s**t. I fell down. I’ma bounce back up though, watch this. It’s all good, cuh,” he said.
He later went off in response to people assuming he’d be in a better financial state following the success of GNX.
“N**ga that f**king song with Kendrick ain’t change s**t. What the f**k does that change n**a?” Dody expressed.
He continued, “I’m still from 40s. I’m still over here. You act like a n**ga got a million dollars for that s**t. The f**k? Only thing a n**ga got is some clout and f**k clout! On the dead homies.”
Fans criticized Dody’s sentiments. One user tweeted, “How you mad you couldn’t capitalize on an opportunity.” Another responded, “He’s mad because he thought ‘hey now’ would be highlighted at the super bowl but Dot went with ‘Peekaboo.’ AzChike capitalized off his moment. Kendrick threw Dody the ball, what did he do with it? Dot said Big dawg business I WILL NOT HOLD YO HAND.”
Adam22 shared an alarming text message from Dody, urging him to “Post that s**t now. Why you not answering?” After Adam explained that he was busy, Dody replied, “Bro post I’m on meth. Idgaf. Post Dody is on meth and say k dot is a b**ch ain’t tapping in.”
Kendrick has not responded to Dody’s claims. He’s currently touring with SZA and embracing his new role as Chanel’s brand ambassador in their eyewear division.
