  • Jay-Z denied the allegation,  describing it as“false and blackmail.”
  • He challenged Buzbee to file a criminal complaint.

American rapper Jay-Z has issued a statement addressing a civil lawsuit that accused him of allegedly committing statutory r@pe in 2000.

The lawsuit, filed by lawyer Tony Buzbee, also implicates Sean Combs, aka Diddy.

In his response, Jay-Z denied the allegations and characterized them as “false and blackmail”, challenging Buzbee to file a criminal complaint instead of pursuing a civil lawsuit.

Jay-Z’s statement expressed his intention to expose what he considers a fraudulent attempt to extort him.

He emphasized that the allegations are serious and, if true, would warrant severe consequences.

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!

“Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case”, the statement partly read

Within Nigeria Recalls that US rapper, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, an ally of Jay-Z was arrested in New York on accusations of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and interstate transportation for prostitution.

The arrest followed a grand jury indictment, with Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, expressing disappointment and criticism towards the US Attorney’s Office for pursuing what he considers an unjust prosecution.
