Jeezy and Jeannie Mai‘s divorce timeline extends with another point of contention. This week, the rapper has accused his ex-wife of “nefarious actions” and demanded she pay $20,000 to cover the legal fees that have allegedly accumulated throughout the divorce process.
In Touch has reported Jeezy asked the court for attorney fees on March 17 from the former The Real host after she accused him of being in contempt, resulting in him fighting her “frivolous” accusations. Back in September 2024, Mai claimed the “Put On” artist violated terms of their deal and filed a petition accusing him of contempt.
Jeannie Mai and Jeezy got married in March 2021 in an intimate ceremony. They share one daughter together named Monaco Mai Jenkins, 3. Jeezy filed for divorce in October 2023, and the TV host said she was blindsided as she found out he did so at the same time as “the rest of the world.” Since the filing, the two have been going back-and-forth on the terms of their public split.

At the top of this year, the Daytime Emmy-winner got the police involved during an incident at Jeezy’s residence in January. The rapper allegedly did not allow her to retrieve her things from this Georgia home, and she had to call law enforcement to inform them about the mishap.
In court documents obtained by In Touch, a judge ruled Jeannie could pick up her belongings — her Emmy and other trophies, photos, handbags, and shoes placed in boxes — within 21 days from Jeezy’s home. However, the “Put On” emcee asked the court to modify the court order because he did not feel comfortable with his ex-wife having access to be around his living space because she is allegedly “angry and revengeful.”
The Atlanta hitmaker had “legitimate concerns about Jeannie being able to walk through the whole house.” His lawyer added, “[Jeezy] does not feel safe having [Jeannie] in his home. Given [Jeannie’s] history of attempting to destroy [Jeezy’s] career with misleading information, [Jeezy] would have no way of knowing if [Jeannie] is planting listening devices or cameras in his home.”
However, Mai said her lawyers notified Jeezy she will be coming to his home to collect her things on Dec. 9, 2024, and claimed “he had no objections to her coming to pick up her items that were packed and in his garage.” She arrived with her movers on that day, but was not allowed to enter.
