Kanye West has declared war on the fashion industry, as the rapper has revealed that he has a “John Wick vendetta” against competing brands while preparing for the launch of his Yeezy women’s clothing line.

On Monday, (Jan. 20), West went on a lengthy social media rant in which he addressed his competitors and former partners’ alleged attempts to capitalize on his influence to bolster their consumer base.

“No corporations leveraging my platform,” the Chicago native wrote in an Instagram post that’s since been deleted. “Using me to get to get to us. Overcharging our community while ignoring my vision and direction.”

West then took shots at Adidas, whom he parted ways with in 2022 amid antisemitic comments the rapper had made at the time. The GRAMMY Award winning artist accused the sports apparel conglomerate of halting production of his Yeezy foam runners and slides during the COVID-19 pandemic, only to later copy the designs.

Ye continued to blast Adidas, sharing that he was advised to reconsider his departure from the brand, but opted to move forward in his own direction, boasting that his creative vision is now “coming to life.”

The 47-year-old likened his vengeance against Adidas and other fashion brands to that of the murderous namesake of the John Wick film franchise, whom he referenced on the song “Off The Grid” on his 2021 album, Donda.

“I have a John Wick vendetta,” West expressed while airing his grievances. “Against every fashion company. As my fellow Gemini Tupac said Die mutherf**ker Die. Now play off the grid.”

Kanye’s rant comes weeks after he demanded that Adidas remove all Yeezy products from their website, with the company obliging his aggressive request the day after.
