Kendrick Lamar has another major achievement under his belt. The 37-year-old rapper set a major record on the opening night of his Grand National Tour with SZA and Mustard.
The stadium tour kicked off in Minneapolis on April 19. Touring Data recently reported that the show grossed $9.1 million from over 47,000 fans who paid an average of $192.70 per ticket. With these statistics, K. Dot can now boast that he has the highest-grossing Hip-Hop concert of all time, outpacing Eminem’s previous record from his 2019 show in Melbourne, Australia.
The Compton rapper also became the first rapper to perform at a concert that grossed over $9 million period. The Minneapolis show was historic for him and the “Snooze” singer, as it marked their most attended concerts of all time with 47,354 tickets sold for the U.S. Bank Stadium show. Since then, they have performed at NRG Stadium in Houston and AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. With 36 shows left, time will tell if the duo sets any other records.

Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour is in support of his November 2024 album GNX. The 12-track LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold over 319,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It spawned the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 records “Squabble Up” and the SZA-assisted “Luther,” the latter of which remains atop the chart and has held that spot for nine weeks.
SZA released the highly anticipated deluxe edition of 2022’s SOS, LANA, this past December ahead of the tour. The deluxe carried 19 records, including the popular single “Saturn,” a solo version of “Open Arms,” “Joni” featuring Don Toliver, and “30 For 30” featuring K. Dot.
The duo also graced the Super Bowl LIX halftime show stage this past February. They performed “Luther” and “All The Stars” together, functioning as a break between the Pulitzer Prize winner running through his hits like “Not Like Us,” “TV Off,” “Humble,” and “DNA.” Watch below.
