Lil Wayne Jokes About Papoose’s Seeming Attraction To Aggressive Women

Lil Wayne has weighed in on rapper Papoose‘s seeming gravitation towards aggressive women, joking that the Brooklyn bred lyricist prefers to be romantically involved with a woman capable of causing him physical harm.

In Weezy’s recent cover story with Rolling Stone, journalist Andre Gee, along with Wayne’s longtime artist and affiliate, Lil Twist, informed Wayne of the latest development in the love triangle involving Papoose, rapper Remy Ma, and championship boxer Claressa Shields.

The self-admitted romantic’s quip that Pap only likes women “that could beat his a**,” accounted for one of the more lighthearted moments documented in the profile.

​The once-celebrated union between rappers Remy Ma and Papoose unraveled publicly in 2024, entangling battle rapper Eazy The Block Captain and professional boxer Claressa Shields in a web of accusations, denials, and revelations.​

In December 2024, Remy Ma accused her estranged husband, Papoose, of engaging in a relationship with Shields, alleging that the boxer had been disseminating false narratives to tarnish her reputation.

In retaliation, Papoose labeled Remy a “narcissist” and accused her of repeated infidelity with Eazy The Block Captain, going as far as posting a photo of the pair in a photo taken on Christmas, a day usually reserved for family. He also claimed that he had requested a divorce from Remy multiple times amid their fallout.

In a December 2024 interview, Eazy alleged that Papoose had been aware of their relationship for two years and was simply attempting to “play victim” to garner public sympathy.

“That ni**a knew already!” the Philly rapper said while breaking his silence regarding his role in the love triangle. “And I’m going to tell you all how he knew… The ni**a you all think is so thorough, he put a recording device in Remy’s car, so that how he knew. That ni**a’s a f**king weirdo” .​

The feud escalated when Papoose claimed he physically assaulted Eazy at a Chrome 23 event in June 2023, stating, “He didn’t throw 1 punch back #supersoft. Last time I saw this chump, he was in the fetal position. Everybody saw it! When I knocked him out @remyma woke him up. And went home with him for 4 days.”

Eazy refuted this account, asserting that Papoose “sucker punched” him and fled immediately after. Remy Ma also denied the altercation, labeling the knockout story as “FAKE.”

From there, Remy Ma and Claressa Shields would trade shots, with the latter challenging Remy to a fight, and going as far as to make a freestyle throwing shade at the Bronx native.

In January 2025, during a Chrome 23 event, Eazy also publicly addressed the situation in a freestyle, asking, “Ayo Remy, don’t you love me?” to which Remy responded, “Yes!” This marked the first public acknowledgment of their relationship.

Shields and Papoose have been spotted together on multiple occasions as well, with Papoose showing Shields support during a recent title bout, which she ultimately won.

As of April 2025, Remy Ma and Papoose have not filed for divorce, leaving the future of their relationship uncertain amidst ongoing public scrutiny.
