Prominent Nigerian journalist and businessman Dele Momodu, has refuted circulating rumors suggesting that Nigerian billionaire businessman, Mike Adenuga, has passed away.

Social media platforms had been abuzz with unverified claims that Adenuga, aged 71, was no more.

Adenuga, recognized as Africa’s fifth-richest individual according to Forbes, is celebrated as the founder of Globacom, Nigeria’s second-largest telecommunications company with significant operations in Ghana and the Benin Republic.

Addressing the reports, Dele Momodu assured the public that Adenuga is alive and in good health, urging people to refrain from spreading false news.

“Ignore the fake news… The Spirit of Africa DR MICHAEL ADENIYI AGBOLADE ISOLA ADENUGA is hale and hearty. He’s right now at his desk working round the clock in support of the Nigerian economy… He just called me to thank everyone for their concern,” he said.

The clarification comes as relief to fans and associates of the business mogul, who has been instrumental in advancing Nigeria’s telecommunications and oil sectors.
