United States President Donald Trump‘s inauguration got a bit festive last night, as Mike Tyson and Jake Paul celebrated the occasion while creating their latest viral moment.
The two boxers, who previously competed against one another in a massive bout last year, were captured together amid a jovial encounter during the inauguration, with Paul hoisting Tyson atop his shoulders as other attendees cheered on.
The clip, which was shared by Paul on his Instagram account, includes the caption, “Best friends,” as he and Tyson have seemingly moved past any lingering bad blood from their prior promotional run and historic fight.
The match, which took place in November 2024 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tx., was preceded by a heated promotional run, with Tyson slapping Paul in the face during the official weigh-in, further adding to seeming tensions between the two.
Paul would go on to defeat the 58-year-old Tyson by unanimous decision, and the fight proved to be an overwhelming success, becoming the biggest livestreamed sporting event to date.

Both Tyson and Paul have spoken in favor of President Trump in the past, particularly Tyson, whose relationship with the business mogul turned politician extends back four decades.
According to the Brooklyn native, Trump helped put together several of his bouts throughout his early career and compensated him well during their dealings with one another. “I always remember him from being a good guy, paying me a lot of money,” Tyson said of the U.S. President, now in his second term in office.

As for Jake Paul, he viewed Trump’s inauguration as being a day about “togetherness in every way” while expressing his appreciation for being present for the occasion.
“Any American who isn’t in support of Trump after this speech simply hates America and doesn’t want what’s best for this country and the world,” the 28-year-old wrote in a post on social media during the event.
Tyson and Paul were just two of a laundry list of celebrities in attendance at Trump’s inauguration, including Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Joe Rogan, Carrie Underwood, Conor McGregor, and more.
