Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has opened up about his personal life and career.

In a recent episode of the Afrobeats podcast, he revealed that his mother gave birth to him at the age of 39, making him an only child.

Odumodublvck referred to himself as a “covenant child,” hinting at the miraculous nature of his birth.

The rapper attributed his strong foundation in music to his upbringing in church.

He emphasized that his statements and actions are rooted in his faith and not mere fallacies.

“I am the only child of my mom. She gave birth to me when she was 39. I’m a covenant child. That’s what people don’t understand. I don’t just come out and say things. They are not fallacies. I grew up in the church. That’s the foundation of my music.”

During the interview, OdumoduBlvck boldly declared himself as one of the most confident artists in music history, adding that he sees himself as a vessel for his art.

“I am one of the most confident artistes in the history of music… I am just a vessel,” he said.

OdumoduBlvck also opened up on how Davido and Wizkid helped him rise to fame in the industry .

He revealed that in the early days of his mainstream rise, Wizkid was the first big star to share his music. The rapper said:

“In Nigeria, Wizkid was the first major artiste to post my music. He posted picanto…Then after I dropped ‘Declan Rice’, he posted the song and there’s also a video of him vibing to the song.”

On the role Davido played in the early days of his career, Odumodublvck said the five-time Grammy nominee chose to help him when he didn’t have to. In his words:

David (Davido) is someone who helped me when he didn’t need to. So there’s no way I will say anything bad about him even if I have the chance to.”
