Offset and Lil Tjay are not interested in letting bygones be bygones. The former Migos member expressed his desire to fight the Bronx rapper after continuing their feud by throwing shots on social media.
The “Calling My Phone” artist shared a set of photos on Instagram where he showed off his jewelry, bags, and clothing. While the pictures were par for the course for any rapper, his caption was subliminal for his enemy. “I could never be broke like set running off making smoke over lunch money…. ima have ta smoke on a hunnit streams for it get to all that,” he wrote with laughing emojis and a facepalm emoji. “But yeaaa free smoke tomorrow for [ninja emoji].”
The Atlanta rapper caught wind of the post via DJ Akademiks’ Instagram and wrote, “@liltjay let’s hit on live I’ll fly to you this ain’t gone stop ya fell off allegations.” In a follow-up, he added, “Meet me [in New York] And give me a one on live.” As of now, the 23-year-old rapper has not responded to the “Ten” rapper’s challenge.
Offset and Lil Tjay’s feud began this past January when Tjay claimed that the father of six is in debt and has a gambling addiction on a Twitch stream. “Why I diss Offset? Offset is broke,” he said. “I’ll tell y’all a true story … I seen the ni**a in the casino. He was popped, he was panicking.” He claimed to have lent the Set It Off rapper $5,000 while he was “asking random people for Cash Apps.”
The Farewell artist claimed he is owed $10,000 and shared screenshots where he told Offset he would “smack the whole sh*t” out of him if he was not paid back. The three-time Grammy nominee responded: “Gotta be the wrong ni**a u texting boy I’ll smoke you […] U barely lived already who tf you think you talking to ni**a.”
Offset has also been publicly feuding with his wife, Cardi B. She filed for divorce last year, with a source telling PageSix, “They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else […] This is something she wants to do.” They have exchanged jabs on social media, but were also caught on camera partying with one another at a club in Miami. As the divorce gets finalized, Set is also seeking joint custody of their three children. Check out his new record “Ten,” where he seemingly addresses his mindset as a newly single man.
