Ne-Yo’s ex-girlfriend, Sade Bagnerise, took to social media to blast the R&B crooner for allegedly exposing their children to his polyamorous lifestyle. Bagnerise, who shares two of Ne-Yo’s seven children, publicly condemned him after he revealed in a recent radio interview that his kids are fully aware of his relationships with multiple women.
During an appearance on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show on Feb. 20, the 45-year-old singer openly discussed his unconventional family dynamic, stating, “I’m not lying to nobody, not even my children.”
Further illustrating his remark, he explained how his children interpret who each woman is. “’Hey, this is daddy’s girlfriend, and so is that, and so is that, and so is that,” he said, while motioning in different directions. The “So Sick” singer then detailed how each woman helps with his children, adding, “And she’s gonna make you some cereal, and she’s gonna cook lunch, and she’s gonna wash your clothes. And it’s all good.” He emphasized, “It’s family. It’s community. And that’s what it’s all about.”
Following the interview, Bagnerise unleashed a scathing response via Instagram on her kids’ father, in screenshots caught by Hollywood Unlocked. She furiously accused Ne-Yo of being an irresponsible parent, writing, “And didn’t I tell your corny a** not to have that sh*t going on in front of my kids, to do that cornball sh*t ON YOUR OWN TIME.”
She continued her criticism of his polyamorous lifestyle, arguing, “And poly relationships aren’t five girlfriends that party with you every night so that you can pick up more girls to hook up. This is what you call an OPEN RELATIONSHIP.”
Bagnerise didn’t stop there, she then urged fans to stop feeding into Ne-Yo’s antics. “Stop giving him attention. That’s why he thinks this is cute and marketable instead of hitting that booth and making a good song,” she added.
Her fiery remarks come just days after the singer apparently added a fourth woman to his polyamorous situation. A backup dancer named Bri, who has been touring with Ne-Yo since 2023, was recently spotted in club photos with him and his quad. Although the performer has posted separate intimate photos with the “So Sick” singer on her Instagram before, it’s her first public photo with the other ladies—sparking speculation that they are all now a quintet.
The revelation comes after Ne-Yo flicked it up on a yacht earlier this month alongside three of his partners who go by the Instagram handles: Daddys_Pretty_Baby__, Phoneixx__feather, and ArielleHill. Their joint caption read: “US vs. …NOBODY. You can’t compete where you can’t compare. #PolyAndFly.”
Elsewhere on Bri’s Instagram, there are posts of the two dressed on tour in matching army green ensembles, getting cozy on stage, working out together, soaking up the sun at the beach, gazing into each other’s eyes and even enjoying a trip to Indonesia, where they had a relaxing spa date.

While some fans applauded Ne-Yo for living his truth, others had questions, leaving comments beneath their photos. “Wait so you’re the 4th?” one person asked as another wrote, “There’s 4 wives.” A third person commented, “I know he has other gfs but idk this gives like the one he should be with the chemistry is through the roof,” as a fourth said, “Ya’ll look the f**k good together!”
The 45-year-old also took to his own Instagram to double down that he doesn’t care for anyone’s approval of his lifestyle choices. In an IG Story, Ne-Yo wrote, “Them: ‘NEYO WE DON’T APPROVE OF YOUR POLY RELATIONSHIP!!’” over a picture of him wearing a T-shirt that reads “FUN FACT: I DON’T CARE.” Bri reposted his story with the comment, “He said what he said.”
