Soulja Boy is speaking out following a multi-million-dollar civil judgment against him stemming from a 2021 sexual assault lawsuit.
The rapper, born DeAndre Way, has harshly criticized the ruling and his accuser, who was awarded $4 million judgement last week. He called into question both her motives and the integrity of the legal system.
In a profanity-laced video circulating on social media, Soulja Boy challenged the legitimacy of the lawsuit and suggested that the civil suit was financially motivated rather than rooted in a pursuit of justice.

“Go tell the police to come lock me up bi**h, if I touched your a** bi**h,” Soulja says in the video. “Lying-a** bi**h. Ain’t nobody touched your funky a**, bi**h. Who the f**k want money for being sexually assaulted? Who the f**k want some money for that? Bi**h go lock the ni**a up. That’s how you know this sh*t a scam. The system is broken.”
The comments came shortly after a Los Angeles jury awarded the alleged victim $4 million in damages after finding Soulja Boy liable for sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, infliction of emotional distress, and other disturbing claims.
The lawsuit was initially filed anonymously in 2021 by a former personal assistant who accused the rapper of repeated abuse during her employment. In response to the verdict, Soulja Boy released a formal statement expressing his discontent and disbelief.

“Today, I stand before you deeply disappointed in the verdict delivered in my case,” he said. “I firmly believe that the decision made in court was not based on facts or substantial evidence, but rather on factors that were outside of my control.
“The truth was overshadowed by individuals such as the jury who were not present during the events in question,” he added. “And I feel that the system allowed external influences to shape the outcome.”
However, the alleged victim’s attorney, Ronald Zambrano, fired back at the rapper’s claims, clarifying that his client did indeed seek criminal justice before pursuing civil action.

“[Soulja Boy] unsurprisingly omits there was a criminal investigation connected with the same conduct,” Zambrano said in a statement.
“Our client did want him locked up and gave law enforcement the same evidence back in 2021. But it’s not up to her to force the DA to do their job and actually file criminal charges. The DA made the decision and declined to do so. Unfortunately, this is an example of why some share a view that California is soft on crime.”
