T.I. and Tiny have scored a big win in their litigation against MGA Entertainment Inc. over dolls resembling the OMG Girlz.
A judge has decided their initial $53 million in punitive damages must be paid after previously ruling against it. In court documents shared by legal journalist Meghann Cuniff on X, Judge James V. Selna changed his mind on the matter, leaving the final decision that the full judgment of $71 million be paid out.
“Upon consideration of the evidence, the Court grants disgorgement of profits of $17,872,252 under common law misappropriation and affirms the jury’s award of punitive damages of $53,616,759,” detailed the filing.

Last month, Judge Selna decided that there was insufficient evidence proving MGA Entertainment infringed on the OMG Girlz’s trademark, despite a jury finding the company guilty of violating the IP rights of the OMG Girlz with the company’s 2019 L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls in a unanimous ruling in September 2024.
“We wanted to thank the jurors for just seeing us through this and believing in what we said. They heard our story and knew we weren’t lying. It’s amazing,” expressed Tiny at the time.
T.I. added, “It’s a testament to the relentless resilience of my wife, daughter, and nieces. We’re just happy we were able to come out on top and fight for creatives and our intellectual property.” His attorney, John Keville, later thanked the jury for “standing up to MGA’s bullying and misrepresentations.”
