A representative of Top Dawg Entertainment is refuting claims made by Kai Cenat about Kendrick Lamar‘s Super Bowl LIX Halftime Performance.

In a social media interaction captured by The Jasmine Brand, Hollywood, a manager at TDE laughed at the streamer’s critique that the NFL manipulated extra crowd noise during the record-breaking showcase.

“This ni**a MAD MAD cause he didn’t get access to Dot’s suite!!! lol… I was there that’s what it is!! lol,” wrote Hollywood. His comment was completed with the crying laughing emoji, the hand covering face emoji, and the shoulder-shrugging emoji.

His comment comes after Kai Cenat accused the NFL of amplifying the crowd’s noise level for the live broadcast. According to Complex, he rewatched the show while streaming on Twitch when he made the revelation.

“Oh my God, they [added] sound effects to the NFL sh*t, oh my f**king God,” he exclaimed. “Right, so right here, there was no sound. I just heard crowd sounds, on my life, right here, there was no sounds. F**k, they add crowd effects? I did not know that.”

“Crowd was making no noise,” he added later. “I’m just being honest. I was there.” According to the outlet, Drake liked a social media post echoing Kai Cenat’s claims.

Whether or not the stadium audience screamed the entire performance or remained silent, Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show made history. The set, which featured SZA, Mustard, and Samuel L. Jackson is now the most-watched halftime show of all time, beating out Michael Jackson’s acclaimed halftime show from over 30 years ago.

Dave Free and Kendrick are really into keeping things clean and minimal,” explained Mike Carson, who worked with Lamar, director Dave Free, and more on the halftime show. “So we went with a monochromatic concrete look and allowed the video game motif to come alive through dialogue, lighting, choreography, and music.”
