The White House’s Official X Account Quotes GloRilla Lyrics

The White House dropped a funny post on X last night (April 9) causing much confusion—unless you’re a GloRilla fan.

With a photo of Donald Trump and JD Vance, the official X account of the White House wrote: “LET HIM COOK.” For those who are not in tune with what’s happening in Hip-Hop, they simply thought it was some random phrase. But for those who know, the line is also mentioned Glorilla’s track “Let Her Cook.”

“Big Glo come through fryin’ sh*t, let her cook / Too much cake, I’ll buy a bi**h, let her cook / All this sauce, I’m tryin’ sh*t, let me cook,” she raps.

The post dropped right after Trump’s major announcement about a 90-day tariff pause for all countries except China, where he jacked up tariffs to a staggering 125 percent. But instead of keeping it serious, social media flipped the moment into memes.

“Barron running the White House account confirmed,” one user joked, throwing shade at Trump’s youngest son. Others were straight-up confused: “Bro who runs this account?” remarked one user as another said: “This may be the best post to ever come out of the official White House account.” A fourth person even called out the contradiction: “Y’all just love appropriating the culture of the people y’all hate so much.”

People also started flooding X with AI-generated pics of Trump in the kitchen, flipping burgers. “Let him cook!” the user doubled down.

GloRIlla has yet to react to the funny post, but in the meantime see reactions from social media below:
