Tia Mowry opened up about being single in a candid social media post. Taking to Instagram, the 46-year-old reflected on the stigma of not being married in her 40s and the complex feelings of love and loneliness. Uploaded last week, the compilation video features clips of the actress “doing everything but worrying about being single.”
“There’s this stigma that we shouldn’t be single in our 40s, like thriving on your own isn’t an option. At one point, I thought the idea of being ‘alone’ was scary… but now that I’m here? I’m not scared anymore,” wrote the star of The Game.
“I’d be lying if I said I’ve never felt lonely, but it happens. Because I love LOVE! But that’s not the only thing we should measure our happiness on, or the only thing that defines us. And we definitely shouldn’t stress over whatever timeline has been forced on us.”

She continued to elaborate, “We’re all on this journey of life! So whether you find yourself single in your 20s, 30s, 40s, or even 50s… just know, we’re all going to be OK.”
In October 2022, Mowry announced her plans to divorce her husband, actor Cory Hardrict. The couple had wed in 2008 and have two children, 13-year-old Cree and 6-year-old Cairo. Their split was finalized in 2023.
“I’ve never dated,” shared the Sister Sister star last year. “Cory was my first everything.”
She continued to detail, “I wasn’t even allowed to date until I was 18 years old. I met Cory when I turned 20 and I lost my virginity at 25. There, I said it! And then we got married! Boom!”
