Tory Lanez‘s legal team denies allegations that the singer is harassing Megan Thee Stallion from behind bars, as well as claims that financial transactions between his father Sonstar Peterson, and blogger Milagro Gramz served as payment for the alleged predatory behavior.
In a statement to Baller Alert, Ceasar McDowell, CEO of Unite the People, Inc. asserted, “The ridiculous claim that a writ of habeas corpus was filed prior to the release of Ms. Pete’s documentary in an attempt to undermine her work is ludicrous.” He continued to elaborate, “The legal process will prove 100% without a shadow of a doubt that they had nothing to do with Mr. Daystar Peterson or his case at all,” maintaining that money sent by Lanez’s father, Sonstar Peterson will be rightfully accounted for.
The statement comes after Megan Thee Stallion, legal name Megan Pete, filed a restraining order against Lanez, legal name Daystar Peterson, in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday (Dec. 17) for harassment. In the filing, she named blogger Milagro Gramz, legal name Milagro Cooper, as the recipient of $3,000 from Sonstar Peterson between Oct. 28, 2020, and March 3, 2022, supporting her claims that the Canadian singer used the blogger to spread misinformation.

“If Ms. Pete is not issued at least (a) civil harassment restraining order, she will be left without any protection for when Mr. Peterson is released from prison. This possibility alone causes Ms. Pete severe emotional distress and makes her fearful for her life,” detailed the restraining order request.
Last week, the Houston rapper’s legal team submitted a subpoena to the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation to retrieve Peterson’s jail phone calls, to prove he has been communicating with others to retaliate against their client from jail. They also added a defamation claim to their case against Cooper.
“By consciously coordinating with Ms. Pete’s convicted assaulter to amplify Mr. Peterson’s disproven and baseless theories to help him seek retribution against Ms. Pete, Defendant engaged in extreme and outrageous conduct that has caused, and continues to cause, Ms. Pete severe emotional distress,” the complaint detailed.

The initial lawsuit against Cooper was filed in October and accused the blogger of doing “Mr. Peterson’s public bidding to denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements about Ms. Pete on her online social media platforms, for no other reason than to bully, harass, and punish Ms. Pete for Mr. Peterson’s conviction and to tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress.”
“It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life,” exclaimed the Grammy-winning rapper.
Cooper, who declared the “Countersuit gone go crazy,” is also being represented by Unite The People. Peterson remains behind bars, serving a 10-year sentence after being found guilty of three felonies in December 2022, including discharging a firearm with gross negligence, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, all in relation to the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
