Heisman Trophy Award winner Travis Hunter has inked a deal with Hip-Hop superstar Lil Wayne‘s sports agency, Young Money APAA Sports.
According to Front Office Sports, which announced the news on Sunday (Dec. 29), the University of Colorado superstar defensive back and wide receiver decided to sign with Lil Wayne’s agency over competitors including WME, Klutch Sports Group, CAA, and Athletes First.
Young Money APAA Sports represents various athletes, with a roster of clients across the NFL, NBA, soccer, and college sports.

The agency already represents Hunter’s former Jackson State teammate and current New England Patriots defender Isaiah Bolden, and recently signed new Duke University Quarterback to a two-year, $8 million NIL (name, image, and likeness) deal.
The agency will handle Hunter’s on-field representation and playing contracts, while SMAC Entertainment, which represents Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, and his son Shedeuer Sanders, will oversee the two-way star’s off-field endeavors.

During his acceptance speech, Hunter shouted out Lil Wayne, revealing that his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, introduced him to Wayne’s music, which has become his personal soundtrack while preparing for games.
Hunter completed his college football career this past Saturday (Dec. 28), with his Colorado Buffaloes losing to BYU in the Alamo Bowl.
The tantalizing NFL prospect caught four passes for a game-high 106 yards and a touchdown in the game, further fueling speculation of whether he’ll play on both offense and defense following his transition to the pros.
