Tyler, The Creator endeared much of his fanbase with his earlier work, but there are some parts of his past that he wants to leave behind. The 34-year-old rapper recently revealed the one album he refuses to perform, no matter how much the fans beg.
During one of his recent shows on the Chromakopia World Tour, fans started a “Cherry Bomb” chant, signaling their desire to hear his controversial 2015 album. The Grammy winner denied the request and doubled down on X when the fan who started the chant revealed himself. “I started that Cherry Bomb chant on Saturday and I will start it again tonight,” they wrote. “I need to hear DEATHCAMP live.”
Tyler quoted the tweet and wrote, “chant all you want ( i hope you dont, its mad annoying during the show) im not gonna play it, chanting doesnt make me magically wanna play it.” In a surfaced video that shows the chanting, the Hawthorne, Calif., artist told fans straight up that it wouldn’t happen. “I genuinely don’t know the logic of why you think that chanting that is going to sway my decision,” he said. “I don’t want to play that! And most of the crowd doesn’t want me to.”

Despite the annoying request, Tyler, The Creator has been enjoying his time on the road. “CHROMAKOPIA tour has been wonderful so far, thank you all for coming,” he wrote on X this week. The tour is in support of his 2024 album Chromakopia, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured GloRilla, Lil Wayne, Sexyy Red, Doechii, and more.
His road trip began last month in Saint Paul and has hit Milwaukee, Kansas City, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Austin so far, among other cities. The tour will stay domestic until April, then he will travel overseas to Mexico, Paris, Frankfurt, Berlin, Amsterdam, and more. Tyler will return to the States in June, July, and August before heading back overseas to finish up the tour in September.
