Ayesha Curry, Victoria Monét and Sofia Richie Grainge recently teamed up with the nonprofit organization, Baby2Baby, to take a stand against the ongoing maternal health crisis. With a mission to “combat the staggering rise in maternal mortality,” the org announced a bold $8,000,000 partnership with Huggies at their Los Angeles headquarters, and tapped the beloved women to help with the expansion of their initiative.
Together, Curry, Monét and Grainge volunteered on Tuesday (April 22) ahead of Mother’s Day to pack Maternal Health & Newborn Supply Kits. The kits are essential for new mothers, as they include necessities like diapers, wipes, hygiene products, breastfeeding supplies, postpartum care items, and educational resources to help support both moms and babies through postpartum.
“We are deeply thankful to our longtime partners at Huggies for their unwavering support,” shared Baby2Baby Co-CEOs Norah Weinstein and Kelly Sawyer Patricof in a press release. “Thanks to their extraordinary ($8,000,000) donation and three-year commitment, we will make a greater impact in the fight against maternal mortality. With their help, we are expanding our efforts to deliver supplies to new mothers across fifteen states, ensuring they have the basic essentials they need for themselves and their babies, especially during the already overwhelming postpartum period.”
Last year, Baby2Baby tapped Kelly Rowland and Ciara to get hands-on with helping moms in need. Amid the philanthropic event, the two R&B singers spoke with the publication PARENTS about their own experiences with motherhood, including how they embrace their postpartum bodies, practice self-care, and more. Additionally, Rowland visited NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where she and Baby2Baby Co-CEOs Norah Weinstein and Kelly Sawyer Patricof delivered Maternal Health & Newborn Supply Kits to new mothers.
Monét has also been vocal about her journey through postpartum, a dark time in her life that ultimately birthed her Grammy-winning single, “On My Mama.” Speaking of the sentiment behind the lyrics, Monét told Ebro Darden in 2023 that she penned the single while struggling with postpartum depression back in 2021, nine weeks after giving birth to her daughter, Hazel.
“I was really having a hard time. I had postpartum depression, I was still breastfeeding, just adjusting to the life, but also in the midst of COVID,” she explained at the time. “So we’re in a pandemic, everything’s a little bit risky, scary to even be in the studio with a child. And ‘On My Mama’ was the first record I did that I actually liked. But it came while I was in a place of disbelief in what I was actually saying. So it’s almost like I had to speak it into existence.”
Today on the Ebro Show, @VictoriaMonet calls in to talk about her single “On My Mama” and when we can finally expect #Jaguar2.

Ayesha Curry has also been open about dealing with postpartum depression in the past as a mom of four. In 2019, Curry admitted that she got a boob job after she had her second daughter, Ryan, because she was battling with the common challenge. “I didn’t realize at the time, but after having Ryan, I was battling a bit of postpartum that lingered for a while,” she recalled. “It came in the form of me being depressed about my body. So I made a rash decision.”
Through this new partnership, Baby2Baby, Huggies, Monét, Curry and Grainge are not just making a difference — they’re changing lives of mothers and babies all over in need. Take a look at some photos of Victoria Monét and Ayesha Curry from the event below.
