An explosion was reported near the presidential palace in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, minutes after President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s motorcade passed by. An unknown number of casualties are reported. Al-Shabab, an al-Qaeda-linked armed group, claimed responsibility for the attack.
