Vince Staples is calling out real estate developers offering to buy homes in an attempt to capitalize on the devastation caused by the L.A. wildfires.
The rapper, who resides in Los Angeles and is a native of the city, revealed that he had recently been pitched a bid to sell his home for $1 Million, but swiftly declined the offer.

“White devil offered a [million] cash for the land,” Staples wrote in a post on X, insinuating that other homeowners had accepted similar offers.
“He must’ve thought I was one of them other n**gas,” the hitmaker added. Yet, Staples expressed he and his community’s resolve, in spite of the damage incurred as a result of the natural disaster.
“Whole neighborhood burnt down but we still thuggin,” the Cali rep added in a separate tweet.
The lyricist-turned-actor also seemingly announced his plans to help assist those impacted by the wildfires, urging others to do the same.
“Long Beach is making a pledge,” he wrote while sharing a website link to a local organization. “To the California Community Foundation. Anything helps!.”
Last year, the Big Fish Theory creator seemingly predicted the L.A. wildfires while speaking on insurance hikes in California due to the perceived increased risk of a natural disaster.
“California not insuring houses anymore,” the rapper declared during an appearance on the Joe Budden Podcast. “Cause of climate change.”

“They’re shifting those areas,” he explained. “There’s areas that have never had a wildfire that are now high fire zones. It’s getting wicked. It was like $15,000. Everybody don’t have [15 grand].”
When Joe Budden expressed his own suspicion regarding the abrupt increase in insurance rates, Staples eerily foreshadowed the truth eventually coming to light, sooner rather than later.
“Yeah, there’s another paragraph,” he said, regarding the seemingly ominous events yet to unfold. “We will find out next year.”
