Nigerian Grammy-winning artist Tems delivered a captivating performance at the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team launch event, showcasing the team’s new car ahead of the 2024 F1 season. The event took place on February 12, 2024, at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, England.

Tems, an internationally acclaimed music sensation, performed a medley of “Higher”—whose chorus was sampled on Future and Drake’s ‘Wait For U’, and has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify.  Her performance added a touch of glamour and excitement to the unveiling of the new AMR24 car, setting the stage for Aston Martin’s campaign in the 2025 Formula One World Championship.

Following her performance, Tems expressed her gratitude and excitement, describing the experience as “amazing.” This performance comes at the start of a successful 2025 for Tems, who recently won her second Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance for her song “Love Me Jeje” at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Tems has also recently achieved another milestone, becoming the first African female artist to feature on a song that has surpassed one billion streams on Spotify, thanks to her collaboration on Future’s global hit, “Wait For U.” This achievement places her alongside Wizkid and Rema as Nigerian artists featured on billion-stream Spotify tracks.
