Young Thug Reacts To Fan Tattooing Wrong Lyrics

Young Thug wants to lead by example. The Atlanta rapper promised clearer pronunciation on his forthcoming album Uy Scuti after a fan misquoted his lyrics in their new back tattoo.

One of Hip-Hop’s under-recognized mysteries of the last almost decade is whether the 33-year-old artist said “Horses don’t stop, they keep goin’” or “Hustlers don’t stop, they keep goin’” on his 2016 record “Digits.” Almost every lyric website states the proper lyric is “Hustlers,” but upon hearing the song back then, and even now, many people before Thugger said “Horses.”

One fan who still holds that belief wanted to signify how much those lyrics meant to him by tattooing “Horses don’t stop, they keep goin’” on their back with three horses beneath the quote. Thug caught wind of the tattoo and realized that he had to be the agent of change. “And that’s y I’m talking with more clarity UY SCUTI,” he wrote on X. “Dam bro.” Funny enough, several fans chimed in and revealed that they believed that he was saying “Horses” instead of “Hustlers.” Check out the tattoo below.

More importantly, Young Thug’s tweet served as further promotion for his forthcoming album Uy Scuti. It is highly anticipated, marking his first full-length effort since striking up a plea deal and getting released from prison in October 2024. Several fan pages have alluded to the project, and even Future tweeted “UY SCUTI” last month. This tweet was Thug’s first time acknowledging the potential album and title on social media.

Last month, conversation about the album ramped up when he attended a Miami Heat game with Mariah The Scientist and was gifted a custom jersey with “Uy Scuti” in the place where one’s last name would go. The unique title refers to the actual red hypergiant star, which is approximately 5,871 light-years away from Earth and known as the largest star in our universe; it certainly would not be out of the realm of possibility for Thug to refer to himself in such a way.

The “Hot” artist has been quiet on the music front since getting out of prison. On Christmas 2024, he surprised fans by uploading his classic mixtapes, Slime Season and Slime Season 2, on all streaming platforms. In January, Thug reunited with Future and Lil Baby on “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber” from Baby’s latest album WHAM. Check out the music video below.
